This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner organization, which will handle applications and the remaining hiring steps. The business is seeking a Manager of Data & Analytics in Canada.
This is a senior, high-impact role focused on improving how data informs strategic and day-to-day decisions. You will lead the full data and analytics function, turning raw information into insights that strengthen performance, growth, and operational efficiency. The position blends technical direction, people leadership, and collaboration with teams across the business to build scalable reporting and analytics capabilities. You will be responsible for dashboards, data flows, and visualization tools while maintaining strong standards for accuracy, access, and governance. By working closely with business leaders, you will convert complex data into clear recommendations that support decision-making. This role suits a practical analytics leader who enjoys solving challenging data problems and fostering a strong data-driven mindset. Key accountabilities
- Direct the enterprise-wide data and analytics function, delivering scalable reports, dashboards, and insights across the business.
- Take ownership of BI platform design, performance tuning, and ongoing enhancement, including Tableau-based reporting environments.
- Manage data initiatives from start to finish, ensuring priorities align with business goals and organizational needs.
- Build and refine data pipelines, workflows, and automation to increase reporting reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Act as a technical expert for data systems and help resolve issues related to pipelines or integrations.
- Work with business and finance stakeholders to convert requirements into practical analytics solutions and usable insights.
- Create and maintain documentation, reporting standards, and governance practices that support consistency and compliance.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of data professionals, supporting hiring, onboarding, performance management, and growth.
- Encourage data literacy and build a culture where decisions are backed by data across departments.
- Safeguard data quality, integrity, privacy, and governance across all analytics work.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, IT project coordination, or technical operations.
- Minimum 3 years working in analytics or BI roles with exposure to leadership, ownership, or project management responsibilities.
- Strong practical experience with SQL and data visualization platforms such as Tableau, ideally Tableau Online.
- Good understanding of data architecture, system integration, and reporting automation concepts.
- Experience creating dashboards, developing data models, and improving analytics workflows.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with a talent for turning data into actions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex findings in a simple, accessible way.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, especially in finance or business operations settings.
- Well-developed organization and project management skills with the ability to balance several priorities.
- Prior leadership experience managing or mentoring a team is an advantage.
