Key accountabilities

• Direct the enterprise-wide data and analytics function, delivering scalable reports, dashboards, and insights across the business.
• Take ownership of BI platform design, performance tuning, and ongoing enhancement, including Tableau-based reporting environments.
• Manage data initiatives from start to finish, ensuring priorities align with business goals and organizational needs.
• Build and refine data pipelines, workflows, and automation to increase reporting reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Act as a technical expert for data systems and help resolve issues related to pipelines or integrations.
• Work with business and finance stakeholders to convert requirements into practical analytics solutions and usable insights.
• Create and maintain documentation, reporting standards, and governance practices that support consistency and compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of data professionals, supporting hiring, onboarding, performance management, and growth.
• Encourage data literacy and build a culture where decisions are backed by data across departments.
• Safeguard data quality, integrity, privacy, and governance across all analytics work.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, IT project coordination, or technical operations.
• Minimum 3 years working in analytics or BI roles with exposure to leadership, ownership, or project management responsibilities.
• Strong practical experience with SQL and data visualization platforms such as Tableau, ideally Tableau Online.
• Good understanding of data architecture, system integration, and reporting automation concepts.
• Experience creating dashboards, developing data models, and improving analytics workflows.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with a talent for turning data into actions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex findings in a simple, accessible way.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, especially in finance or business operations settings.
• Well-developed organization and project management skills with the ability to balance several priorities.
• Prior leadership experience managing or mentoring a team is an advantage.

• Competitive pay in the range of CAD $78,000 to $110,000, depending on experience, performance, and incentives.
