About the role
Christian Dior Couture is seeking a motivated Management Controller Intern to support the finance function for Northern Europe. In this role, you will contribute to financial analysis and planning activities and work closely with the Head of FP&A. The position is designed for someone who is enthusiastic about luxury retail, keen to learn, and excited to be part of the Dior heritage and team.
Internship details
This is a 6-month internship based in London. The role requires full-time availability of 40 hours per week. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and check financial reporting outputs, including daily and monthly sales reporting and P&L templates.
- Support monthly commercial analysis covering sales, margins, staff costs, communication spend, and other expense categories.
- Assist financial accountants with month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including review of financial statements.
- Compare actual expenses with budgeted figures, prepare budget revisions, and flag any overspending to management by store.
- Carry out monthly KPI analysis, such as sales by nationality, product category performance, and best-selling products.
- Help with the budgeting cycle by submitting required reports within set deadlines.
- Assist with reconciliation tasks within the finance department.
- Take on additional tasks and projects as needed.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is proactive, motivated, well-organised, and comfortable working in a team. Strong communication skills, a rigorous approach to work, and an analytical mindset are important. You should be fluent in English, have a basic understanding of accounting and SAP, and be highly proficient in Excel. Prior experience in finance is considered an advantage.
