About ASMO
ASMO is a new joint venture formed by DHL and Aramco, combining DHL’s logistics know-how with Aramco’s deep supply chain network. The company is being built to raise the standard for procurement and supply chain services and support business growth.
ASMO is scheduled to become operational in 2025 and will deliver integrated, reliable procurement and supply chain solutions for industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical businesses. In the near term, its primary focus is Saudi Aramco and its affiliates, with a longer-term ambition to serve industrial sectors across Saudi Arabia and eventually the wider MENA region.
Role objective
The Junior Expeditor will handle daily procurement administration activities efficiently and in line with ASMO’s rules and procedures. This position works closely with internal teams, suppliers, and end users to help ensure goods and services are sourced and delivered on time while supporting broader procurement operations.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out everyday expediting and procurement administration work accurately and in accordance with ASMO’s policies and procedures.
- Support the sourcing and delivery of requested goods and services to ASMO departments.
- Build and run administrative workflows that help procurement activities move smoothly.
- Help coordinate incoming tenders and work with relevant stakeholders to review technical and commercial aspects.
- Partner with the Procurement Administration leadership to form project teams or committees after tender award and coordinate with vendors for service execution.
- Monitor service level agreements with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to help ensure quality service delivery and compliance with agreed terms.
- Review contract terms and prepare initial commercial risk assessment reports for the Manager of Procurement Administration.
- Support office operations such as correspondence handling, supply requests, reception activities, and building upkeep.
- Introduce standard correspondence practices to improve consistency and administrative efficiency.
- Work with vendors on planned purchase orders, check vendor claims for correctness, and confirm purchase order receipt.
- Coordinate with Finance on invoices and payments so submissions are made on time.
- Suggest training and development actions that can strengthen team capability.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and working practices to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Apply department policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent work execution.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports that meet departmental needs, standards, and policies.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited university is required.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
