Junior Cloud Engineer (Entry-Level / Associate)

About the role

This is an entry-level cloud engineering opportunity for a motivated candidate who wants to begin a career in cloud computing. The role is remote and suited to recent graduates or early-career professionals who want practical exposure to cloud infrastructure, cloud platforms, and day-to-day technical support work.

The position is based in Australia and is open only to Australia-based applicants.

Work arrangement

This opportunity is remote and can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Help deploy, monitor, and keep cloud infrastructure running smoothly.
• Provide support for cloud-hosted applications and services.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues related to cloud, systems, and networks.
• Support performance monitoring, incident handling, and basic optimization work.
• Contribute to cloud security, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
• Take part in documentation and technical reporting for infrastructure tasks.
• Work with engineering teams on cloud implementation initiatives.
• Keep building knowledge and apply current cloud best practices.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
• Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform will be considered an advantage.
• Working familiarity with Windows or Linux environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP, and VPN.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Willingness to learn and strengthen technical skills.

Qualifications

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud Digital Leader are helpful but not mandatory.
