The company is hiring an IT Support Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract to deliver responsive technical support to employees and strengthen the day-to-day performance of the IT function. This position sits within the Help Desk team and plays a frontline role in solving issues quickly and keeping systems running smoothly.
The environment is fast-moving and well suited to someone who enjoys working in a startup setting that is constantly changing. Building relationships and understanding employee needs are also important parts of the job.
This is a remote role, but applicants must live in the United Kingdom so collaboration across teams can remain effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the complete onboarding and offboarding ticket process, making sure new joiners are set up correctly and departing employees are deactivated on time.
- Deliver dependable support for technical issues across the workplace, with strong attention to employee experience.
- Respond to support queries coming through ticketing tools, email, Slack, and remote support software such as Zoom and Splashtop.
- Support and troubleshoot a wide range of devices and systems, including macOS, Windows, mobile devices, AV gear, and printers.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for account and access issues tied to onboarding and critical platforms such as Workday, Okta, Google, Slack, Zendesk, Jira, and Confluence.
- Resolve remote issues affecting conference rooms, printers, and other office technology when needed.
- Create and maintain IT documentation, including policies, procedures, troubleshooting resources, and knowledge base articles for end users.
- Spot recurring issues, suggest process improvements, and help improve support efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Support IT projects and other related initiatives.
- Take part in the team on-call rotation by handling incidents, investigating issues, and contributing to root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
Experience and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of IT support experience in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
- Prior experience managing an enterprise ticketing platform is preferred, such as Zendesk, Jira, or ServiceNow.
- Strong communication ability, including the skill to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical users.
- Practical, resourceful problem-solving skills with the ability to research, test, and validate solutions.
- Comfort working under pressure while balancing multiple priorities.
- Experience collaborating across functions and building positive relationships with stakeholders.
- A strong focus on customer service and user satisfaction.
- Good teamwork and clear communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Background
- Hands-on administration experience with Okta, Jira, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Experience connecting applications, creating workflows, and building automation.
- Familiarity with team-based delivery methods such as Agile or Kanban.
