Role Overview
The Boys' Brigade in Singapore is looking for a proactive and committed Executive to support the Stakeholder Engagement Department. In this role, you will help shape and carry out engagement efforts with the Brigade’s partners, donors, supporters, volunteers and other key stakeholders. The objective is to strengthen partnerships, support the growth and stability of BB Companies, and expand the donor base to help build a more financially resilient organisation.
Reporting Line and Working Context
This position reports to the Department Manager. You will work closely with volunteers, act as secretariat support for volunteer committees, and help ensure that national-level activities create meaningful learning value for BB members.
Key Duties
- Plan and coordinate interviews, media statements, speeches, marketing materials, publications, videos, and other promotional content.
- Maintain and update website content and social media channels.
- Engage with stakeholders and partners on matters related to the launch of new BB Companies and the ongoing health of existing companies.
- Collaborate with and support BB volunteers and teachers to help BB Companies run effectively.
- Create tools, resources, and communication materials that BB Companies can use to attract new members and volunteers.
- Oversee the donor management system, nurture current donor relationships, and help expand the donor network.
- Organise, plan, and deliver fundraising campaigns, events, and related activities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should hold a diploma or degree from a recognised polytechnic or university. Strong people skills, clear communication, and solid organisational ability are important. The role will suit someone who can work on their own initiative while also contributing well in a team environment.
Applicants should be prepared to support volunteers during some evenings and Saturdays when needed. Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, and experience with basic design or communication tools such as Canva or newsletters will be an added advantage. Ability to produce short videos and graphic materials is also beneficial.
Work Expectations
This is a hands-on role that may require extra time outside standard hours to coordinate with volunteers and support engagement activities effectively.
