About the role
In this position, you will work within a collaborative team handling workers compensation claims administration, including registering certificates and processing accounts and weekly payments for employers, injured workers, providers, and the Victorian WorkCover Authority.
Key duties
- Administer weekly entitlement payments accurately and on time.
- Enter and maintain data across individual claims portfolios.
- Handle sensitive and high-risk calls with patients in a professional manner.
- Process claims-related requests while following the company’s policies, laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Support CIP (Community Integration Program) claims activities.
Required expertise
- Previous customer service experience in either a medical setting or a corporate environment.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal ability, with confidence liaising with patients, medical professionals, paramedical practitioners, and legal representatives.
- A considerate approach to people with medical, cultural, and social needs.
- Comfort using multiple systems and troubleshooting basic technology issues independently.
- Experience with claims administration tasks such as file notes and related processing work.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment that can be demanding at times.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
