Role Summary

This part-time canteen role is based in Naas, County Kildare, and offers 20 hours per week on a Monday to Friday day-shift schedule. The employer is looking for someone with some catering assistant experience, a practical hands-on attitude, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong work ethic.

Key Duties

• Carry out food preparation work and support the service from beginning to end.
• Keep food prep areas clean, organised, and aligned with food safety requirements.
• Serve food, maintain tidy counters during service, and complete basic cleaning tasks.
• Follow HACCP standards and procedures at all times.
• Complete daily cleaning and food safety records.
• Respond to extra duties when needed beyond the usual day-to-day tasks.
• Provide friendly, customer-focused service and work efficiently in a busy environment.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should understand basic food safety controls, have prior experience in a customer-service-led environment, communicate well in spoken and written English, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. HACCP/Food Safety Level 2 is preferred but not mandatory.

Working Conditions

This is a part-time onsite position in Naas, Kildare. Working hours are Monday to Friday during the day.
