Role overview
PheedLoop develops technology that helps power major events worldwide, including conferences, trade shows, hybrid experiences, and virtual events. The company’s products include self-check-in hardware, smart badges, and a SaaS platform designed to streamline, automate, and monetize event operations. This opening is for a full-time, fully in-office Business Development Representative based in Toronto.
This position is designed for someone early in their career who wants to build a strong foundation in outbound sales. You will be responsible for creating net-new pipeline by identifying prospects, starting conversations, and converting interest into qualified meetings for the account team. The focus is on curiosity, drive, and the ability to learn quickly rather than prior BDR experience.
What you will do
- Research target companies and identify the right decision-makers or contacts to approach.
- Reach out through personalized cold email, phone calls, and LinkedIn to initiate new conversations.
- Qualify engaged prospects and book discovery meetings for Account Executives.
- Pass along context clearly so the account team is prepared for each meeting.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, activity logs, and next steps.
- Work toward daily activity expectations and monthly qualified-meeting goals.
What the company is looking for
- Strong motivation, persistence, and comfort with hearing rejection as part of outbound sales.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with a persuasive style.
- Coachability and a willingness to learn from feedback and apply it quickly.
- Good personal organization and reliable follow-through on outreach and CRM updates.
- Genuine curiosity about prospect challenges and how the product can solve them.
- 0 to 1 year of experience; recent graduates and early-career applicants are welcome.
Nice-to-have experience
- Exposure to a fast-paced startup, SaaS business, or technology company through work or internships.
- Familiarity with CRM or sales engagement tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, or Apollo.
- Interest in or understanding of the events industry.
Who this role suits
- Self-driven people who take initiative and do not wait for constant direction.
- Individuals who are comfortable making cold calls and speaking with unfamiliar contacts.
- Competitive candidates who enjoy reaching targets and pushing past them.
- Adaptable learners who can follow a process while improving it over time.
Compensation
The base salary is CAD 50,000, with on-target earnings of CAD 20,000.
Perks and workplace benefits
- Employer-paid health coverage at 100%.
- An office location with direct access to the TTC subway.
- Team lunches, learning opportunities, and regular social outings.
- A high-performance environment with ambitious colleagues and meaningful work.
Work environment
This is an in-person role at the Toronto office. The team describes the environment as fast-moving, highly collaborative, and focused on building real products that have immediate impact.
Additional information
People who thrive in this role are ambitious, enjoy solving problems quickly, and want early responsibility on a small team. The company emphasizes that individual contribution matters right away and that this position supports products used by events across the world.
