Role Overview
This position is for an Associate Manager in the commercial function, based in Gurugram, Haryana. The role centers on receivables, credit control, customer accounting, pricing governance, scheme administration, and support for export-related paperwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Track receivables closely and work toward collection goals aligned with business plans.
- Follow up regularly on overdue customer payments and drive closure.
- Obtain balance confirmations from customers in a timely manner.
- Carry out periodic reconciliations of customer accounts.
- Review customer credit limits on a regular basis and update them as needed.
- Enforce the organization’s credit policy without deviation.
- Monitor customer credit exposure and take steps to reduce risk.
- Create and maintain customer codes in SAP.
- Record and post collections in the ERP system.
- Maintain customer master data accurately and keep records current.
- Process customer credit notes and debit notes.
- Manage LC documentation and ensure related compliance requirements are met.
- Support pricing activities and keep pricing information updated.
- Ensure pricing is aligned with approved commercial structures.
- Work with sales and finance teams to implement pricing revisions.
- Administer customer schemes, discounts, and incentive arrangements.
- Track and account for schemes properly.
- Check scheme claims and route them for the required approvals.
- Handle basic export documentation requirements.
- Coordinate documents connected to international shipments.
- Support adherence to export regulations and compliance norms.
Qualifications and Experience
The role calls for either a B.Com with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, or CA (Inter) / ICWA (Inter) with at least 5 years of experience.
Technical Skills
The candidate should be comfortable using MS Excel and PowerPoint, and have working knowledge of SAP, preferably in FICO and SD modules. A solid grasp of commercial and accounting processes is also important.
