Key responsibilities

Handle full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including daily transaction entry along with bank and credit card reconciliations.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities with accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and submit GST, PST, HST, and payroll remittances on a monthly or quarterly schedule in line with Canadian rules.
Maintain bank feeds and help preserve clean, reliable financial data across accounting systems.
Support month-end and quarterly close processes alongside senior accounting technicians and accountants.
Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and basic review of financial statements.
Keep financial records well organized and accurate while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting roles.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field.
Working toward a Canadian CPA designation is considered an advantage.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting workflows.
Hands-on experience with cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and/or Xero is highly desirable.
Exposure to Canadian sales taxes, including GST, HST, and PST, is an added asset.
Strong analytical ability, organization, problem-solving skills, and careful attention to detail.
Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
A self-driven attitude and a willingness to learn and advance professionally.
