What you will do

As an A/C Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of systems that control temperature and air quality. The position focuses on keeping hotel refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment operating safely and efficiently.

• Carry out repairs, maintenance, and technical support for all hotel electrical and mechanical refrigeration equipment, including freezers, refrigerators, ice makers, fan coil units, chillers, and similar systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance across all air-conditioning and refrigeration assets in the hotel.
• Monitor how refrigeration systems and their components are performing.
• Inspect door seals, latches, and closing mechanisms on walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Maintain defrosting systems and the automation features of ice makers.
• Respond to maintenance requests raised by different departments.
• Ensure fan coil units and air-handling unit filters are cleaned regularly.
• Check the performance of air-conditioning and chilled water systems.
• Work closely with engineering colleagues to identify faults in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and support proper functional setup.
• Maintain strict control over any release of CFCs into the atmosphere.
• Carry out overhauling work on air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Inspect refrigerant and oil levels and assist with control of major repairs.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Storekeeper regarding spare-part requirements and purchases.
• Complete all work in line with local technical regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications and experience

You should have formal technical or vocational training in the relevant field, along with at least one year of operational experience in a hotel engineering department. The ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics is required. Experience with VRF/VRV systems will be considered an advantage.
