About the Role
Samba is a media intelligence business that helps the world’s leading brands understand what people are watching, reading, and thinking about in real time across every screen. Its data is built with the consent of more than a billion people and provides one of the most comprehensive views of consumer attention available today.
This leadership role is responsible for driving Samba’s European business, owning regional revenue performance, and shaping the company’s commercial strategy across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the European P&L, including target setting, accurate forecasting, and consistent delivery against aggressive revenue objectives.
- Lead, grow, and coach a high-performing revenue team across sales, account management, and partnerships, with a strong focus on hiring and retaining top commercial talent.
- Generate new business from brand advertisers, agencies, broadcasters, and platform partners throughout Europe.
- Grow current client relationships by increasing adoption of Samba’s offerings across programmatic media, measurement, data licensing, and outcomes.
- Design and execute the European go-to-market plan, covering pricing, packaging, channel strategy, and partner ecosystem expansion.
- Act as Samba’s senior representative in Europe at events, client meetings, and industry bodies.
- Work closely with global teams in Sales, Product, Marketing, and Data to tailor strategy to regional market needs.
- Share market intelligence with headquarters to help shape the product roadmap, Samba Knowledge Graph development, and Europe expansion priorities.
- Maintain strong sales operations practices, including CRM discipline, pipeline management, and process rigor across the region.
Candidate Profile
- At least 12 years of commercial experience, including 5 or more years leading revenue teams in European markets.
- Strong background in digital advertising, TV/streaming, media measurement, or data and analytics.
- Proven success in building and scaling revenue organizations from the ground up, including hiring, developing, and managing teams to quota.
- Comfortable operating at senior executive level, whether presenting to a CMO, closing strategic partnerships, or speaking to a board.
- Highly commercial and operationally disciplined, with a data-led approach to running the business and accountability across teams.
- Experience selling complex, consultative solutions to senior marketing decision-makers at brands and agencies.
- Established relationships across major agency groups such as WPP, Publicis, IPG, and Dentsu, as well as brand advertisers, platforms, and publishers across Europe.
- Self-directed, decisive, and able to create clarity and momentum in ambiguous situations.
