Role Overview

In this position, you will support the Operations Manager with cleaning substations and help monitor the condition of energized stations both above ground and underground. The work involves significant travel and a solid understanding of high-voltage environments. Full on-the-job training will be provided.

Work Location and Travel

This is a Canada-wide travelling role, with roughly 75% travel expected. Each assignment is likely to take place at a different site. Applicants must currently live in Timmins, Ontario, or be prepared to move there.

Compensation

The annual salary for this role is between $85,000 and $135,000.

Qualifications and Job Conditions

Applicants should hold underground certification, or an equivalent credential such as Mining Modules and Common Core. A DZ licence and a Class G licence are mandatory. Knowledge of electrical systems is considered an advantage, though it is not essential. The role also requires familiarity with underground installation and repair standards, comfort working at heights, manual dexterity, good vision, hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. Candidates should be able to analyze situations, solve problems creatively, read and understand specifications and work orders, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer systems. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, teamwork, multicultural experience, clear English communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to drive DZ-class vehicles are also important.

Additional Information
