Opportunity
This role is a chance to lead a specialist group working across identity, cybersecurity, and network services that underpin essential Ministry operations. You will guide team performance, improve how work is delivered, and help navigate a complex, fast-moving digital setting from Wellington.
The position involves leading around five Architects and Engineers while working closely with stakeholders across the Ministry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of Architects and Engineers covering Network, Identity, and Cybersecurity functions.
- Oversee response to network incidents and the handling of recurring problems.
- Set and embed reliable working methods and day-to-day operating standards.
- Serve as the main escalation contact for both internal teams and external partners.
- Build team capability and lift overall performance.
Skills and Experience

Salary
The pay range for this position is NZD 128,427 to 176,789 per year. The final offer will depend on the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
