Supply Chain Data Analyst - Associate

Role Overview

This contract associate-level role supports supply chain and packaging operations at the Auburn Hills, MI site. The position centers on accurate system transactions, reporting, data tracking, and coordination across packaging, supply chain, and related teams.

Key Job Activities

• Carry out day-to-day packaging approval work and resolve errors in SAP and the packaging specification system, including supplier rejection handling and limited follow-up with suppliers.
• Create and circulate weekly planning, material flow, and forecast reports for Third-Party Packagers, covering VOR priority parts and a four-month outlook.
• Prepare and release monthly performance reports on 3PP throughput.
• Manage Non-Conformance Ticket tracking by assigning items to Packaging Engineers, entering data in Microsoft Access, and producing daily and monthly status reports.
• Provide transactional and analytical support in SAP, including analysis of supplier payments, ad hoc reporting, and monitoring of spot buys and accruals.
• Assist with new model packaging status updates, including approval tracking, supplier coordination, and daily progress reporting to Supply Chain and Packaging Engineering.
• Keep packaging specification master data current, including part type code setup, auto-approval checks, mainframe updates, and VOR status assignment.
• Offer limited administrative support for dealer claims when needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel functions such as formulas, pivot tables, filters, and data analysis.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work through structured, repeatable system procedures consistently.
• Comfort using SAP and enterprise packaging systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to handle a daily transactional workload and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Previous exposure to SAP, packaging specification tools, or ERP platforms.
• Background in data analysis, reporting, or analyst-style roles.
• Familiarity with supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing settings.
• Experience in automotive or other regulated industries.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access for tracking or reporting.
