About the role

Facere AI is hiring a Software Engineer to help develop new product capabilities that will be used by actual healthcare customers. This position offers end-to-end ownership, from planning and design through implementation and release. It is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys solving practical problems and building dependable systems that are ready for production. The role is based on-site in Sydney, New South Wales.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver product features from concept through to deployment.
• Build backend and/or frontend systems that can scale with the product.
• Produce code that is clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested.
• Release features into production and provide ongoing support.
• Collaborate closely with product teams and internal stakeholders.
• Help improve overall system performance and reliability.

Skills and experience

The team is looking for software engineers who have experience with one or more of the following areas:

• Backend / infrastructure: Kotlin and/or Java with Spring Boot
• Backend / infrastructure: PostgreSQL
• Backend / infrastructure: Kubernetes
• Frontend: React
• Frontend: TailwindCSS
• Frontend: Tanstack Query

You do not need to cover the entire stack, but you should have depth in at least one area such as backend or frontend.
