Senior Projects Manager

Role overview

The Senior Projects Manager will steer major development assignments across Southeast Asia from initial launch through final completion and handover. The position focuses on delivering every project to a high benchmark across quality, schedule, budget, governance, and health, safety and wellbeing.

This role works in close partnership with internal teams, consultants, contractors, business partners, and relevant authorities, while representing the developer in day-to-day project matters.

Key responsibilities

• Direct development projects from launch through completion and handover.
• Set up project delivery approaches, execution plans, and governance structures.
• Oversee consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams and serve as the developer’s on-the-ground representative.
• Create and maintain integrated project programmes covering design, authority submissions and approvals, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Build and control project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost management processes.
• Make sure delivery follows the approved execution plan and wider business objectives.
• Manage working relationships with consultants, contractors, authorities, partners, and senior leadership.
• Spot project risks and issues early, then escalate them with practical recommended actions.
• Provide strategic input and project updates to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance rules, internal policies, and approval processes.
• Champion strong standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across all phases of delivery.
• Maintain compliance with local statutory obligations, regulatory requirements, and development procedures in relevant Southeast Asia markets.

Requirements

• A strong degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Building Sciences.
• At least 15 years of experience delivering complex development projects from inception to handover.
• Demonstrated success across commercial, mixed-use, retail, and/or residential developments, preferably with a property developer.
• Strong ownership mindset, personal accountability, and the ability to work well within a team.
