Role overview
Metromac is looking for a performance-oriented Sales & Business Development Executive who can bring in fresh business through outbound calling, prospecting, field visits, and strong customer engagement. The position calls for solid prior sales exposure, the ability to quickly understand technical offerings, and disciplined use of ERP/CRM workflows.
What you will do
- Identify and develop new business opportunities via cold calls, lead generation efforts, and direct walk-in engagement with targeted prospects.
- Carry out scheduled client visits, meet customers in person, and present calibration-related services effectively.
- Assess client needs and turn qualified prospects into confirmed sales.
- Meet assigned sales goals and revenue targets.
- Keep yourself informed about product/technical details, market movements, and customer buying patterns.
- Pass along market insights and customer observations to the relevant internal teams.
- Track every lead, opportunity, quotation, and follow-up accurately in ERP/CRM tools.
- Keep sales pipeline records, visit summaries, and forecasting data current and reliable.
- Work with internal departments on proposal drafting and, when needed, support job execution.
- Assist after the sale to maintain customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Between 3 and 6 years of proven experience in sales and business development.
- Hands-on capability in cold calling, prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
- Practical experience using ERP/CRM systems for sales processes.
- Readiness to travel regularly for client meetings and field assignments.
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and presentations.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, ERP platforms, and CRM software.
Preferred background
- Exposure to or familiarity with Oil & Gas, Calibration, Marine Services, or trading in electrical parts and equipment will be an advantage.
- Experience in B2B, industrial, or service-led sales settings is preferred.
Working conditions
This is a full-time onsite role based in Qatar, within the calibration industry. The work week runs from Sunday to Thursday, and standard working hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
