This contract opportunity is for an R&D Systems & Lab Operations Specialist supporting a client’s research and development function. The position focuses on keeping lab systems running smoothly, improving operational efficiency, and helping innovation teams work more effectively from anywhere.
Work arrangement
This is a remote role open to candidates who can work from any location.
Compensation
The assignment pays between $40 and $60 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee laboratory systems and equipment so they continue to function reliably and at peak performance.
- Create, update, and apply standard procedures for lab operations and safety adherence.
- Work with R&D stakeholders to spot workflow issues and remove operational delays.
- Track lab inventory and equipment needs, ensuring supplies are reordered in time and remain available when required.
- Carry out regular servicing and calibration of instruments to maintain quality benchmarks.
Required background
- Hands-on experience maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment is essential.
- Strong understanding of lab operating procedures and safety requirements is needed.
- Ability to handle lab inventory management and procurement tasks is required.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an R&D environment is necessary.
