Role summary

This is a full-time, on-site Purchase Executive position in Pune City. The role focuses on managing procurement from start to finish, including vendor identification, quotation collection, price and term negotiations, and purchase order issuance in accordance with company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchasing activities, from sourcing suppliers to closing orders.
• Identify suitable vendors, collect quotes, and negotiate commercial terms and pricing.
• Create and issue purchase orders while following internal policy and approval requirements.
• Track stock levels and work with warehouse and operations teams to keep supplies replenished on time.
• Monitor delivery schedules closely to reduce the risk of delays or out-of-stock situations.
• Maintain complete and accurate procurement documentation and records.
• Review purchasing information to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities with relevant purchase and inventory data.
• Coordinate regularly with merchandising, finance, and logistics teams to keep procurement aligned across functions.
• Ensure purchasing activities meet quality expectations and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Hands-on knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order handling.
• Working understanding of inventory control, basic demand planning, and coordination with warehouse or logistics functions.
• Ability to work with data using MS Excel and ERP or purchasing systems to track orders, costs, and performance.
• Strong attention to detail with the discipline to keep records and reports accurate and well organized.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for dealing with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Capacity to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and stay effective in a high-growth, fast-paced setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within e-commerce, retail, or FMCG, will be beneficial.
