Project Manager

Overview

We are recruiting for a partner company in Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany for a full-time Project Manager role. This position focuses on the commercial and contractual side of project delivery, with close collaboration across technical project leads, management, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer specialist guidance on commercial and contractual issues and help resolve them in coordination with technical project leads.
• Assist with tendering and bid preparation, including cost calculations, risk reviews, contract analysis, and negotiation support.
• Handle the legal and contractual dimensions of project execution, including notices of concern or delay, change orders, and claim discussions, with solid knowledge of German contract law under VOB/BGB.
• Evaluate, pursue, and defend valid claims, and build strategies for change orders and claims management.
• Serve as an important link between leadership, project teams, and central functions to support project direction and decision-making.
• Compile, review, and maintain commercial and contractual project records, while also helping improve methods, standards, and tools used in contract and project management.

Requirements

• A completed degree in a technical or business discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Business Law, or an equivalent qualification.
• Multiple years of experience in a Project Commercial Manager role, along with deep expertise in contract and claims management under VOB or BGB.
• Strong professional presence and fluent German and English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Prior experience working across internal departments and with clients.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to construction sites, mainly in the Rhine-Main area.
