Production Operative

Overview

This position is for production operatives in Tewkesbury, based in a factory setting. It is a Monday-to-Friday role with rotating weekly shifts, and it comes with an immediate start, paid hourly at between £12.71 and £15.89 depending on the shift worked. Role summary

You will support a busy production operation by working across different manufacturing processes. The work includes operating automated lines and advanced machinery, while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained throughout the shift.

Shift pattern and pay

• Day shift: 06:00 to 14:00 at £12.71 per hour
• Mid shift: 14:00 to 22:30 at £15.26 per hour
• Night shift: 22:00 to 06:00 at £15.89 per hour; this may not always be required, as the usual pattern rotates between day and mid shifts
• Overtime is paid at 1.25 times the standard rate after 40 hours worked

Main duties

• Work on an automated or automotive production line
• Operate and support high-tech equipment, including CNC machines and laser imaging systems
• Monitor production lines to keep operations running smoothly
• Move and handle parts and materials in the factory
• Follow strict health and safety procedures, including when working around chemicals
• Complete quality checks and deal with basic production issues
• Keep the work area tidy, safe, and well organised
