Role overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain, this position leads procurement activities and makes sure purchasing operations run smoothly, follow internal policies and procedures, and secure the right goods and services at the best overall value while meeting quality and delivery expectations. The role also owns procurement performance and is responsible for building, tracking, and improving processes, procedures, and key performance indicators that support the company’s strategic direction and continuous improvement goals.

What you will be responsible for

• Direct and improve procurement operations so purchasing activity is efficient, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
• Ensure goods and services are sourced at the most favorable total cost while still meeting quality standards and delivery timelines.
• Take ownership of procurement performance and measure results against key metrics.
• Develop, monitor, and continuously refine procurement processes and procedures.
• Support broader strategic objectives through process improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications and experience

• You should have at least 10 years of leadership and purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting.
• A valid SCMP designation is mandatory.
• Post-secondary training in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred.
• Hands-on experience leading ERP/MRP transformation as well as standardization and optimization projects is required.
• Experience with international purchasing is needed.
• Background in the oil and gas sector is an advantage.
• You should be comfortable using data and reporting to guide decisions and uncover improvement opportunities.
• Strong planning, analysis, and troubleshooting abilities are important for this role.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills are expected.
