This opportunity is with a globally established manufacturing company in southern Bavaria that is currently expanding. The role places you at the center of payroll operations, where you will help shape efficient, compliant, and employee-friendly processes.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will own and improve the end-to-end payroll workflow, ensuring accurate processing, legal compliance, and a smooth experience for employees.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of monthly payroll processing from start to finish
• Maintain employee records and manage time-tracking data accurately
• Ensure payroll is completed correctly and in line with legal requirements
• Serve as a contact person for payroll, tax, and social security questions
• Liaise with authorities, external service providers, and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to process improvements and ongoing operational refinement

Requirements

• Solid professional experience handling payroll in Germany
• Good working knowledge of German wage tax and social insurance regulations
• Experience with SAP is an advantage
• Careful, structured, and detail-focused way of working
• Strong communication skills and confident stakeholder handling
• Hands-on mindset with an interest in continuous improvement

Work Environment

The role is based at a growing manufacturing site with attractive development prospects. You will be on-site most of the time, with roughly one home office day per week. This position offers the chance to help shape processes and structures in a visible, impactful role.
