About the Organization
Pratham Education Foundation is a major non-profit in India focused on strengthening education, skill-building, and livelihood pathways for children and young people. Under its N.E.X.T. initiative, which stands for Navigating Employment & eXploring Transitions, the organization supports youth in building stable careers by connecting them to jobs and helping them grow professionally over time.
The team is seeking a motivated and dedicated Pathways Coordinator to support young people throughout their employment journey and contribute to long-term retention and career growth.
Role Summary
This position is based in Mysore, Bengaluru, and Malur (Kolar District), Karnataka, and requires full-time, field-based work. The role involves close coordination with placed candidates, employers, training centres, and placement teams to ensure smooth onboarding, ongoing support, and sustained employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer support after placement so candidates remain in jobs and continue progressing in their careers.
- Stay in regular contact with both placed candidates and employers to monitor progress and resolve issues early.
- Advise candidates on career direction, skill development options, and long-term growth opportunities.
- Work with employers, placement staff, and training centres to make onboarding and retention easier.
- Develop and nurture productive relationships with employers and other industry partners.
- Maintain accurate tracking records, MIS data, documentation, and periodic reports.
- Handle concerns raised by candidates or employers in a professional and timely manner.
- Take part in placement events, employer visits, and other engagement activities with stakeholders.
- Travel within the assigned geography whenever needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- A master’s degree is preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in skilling, livelihoods, education, workforce development, or NGO-based work.
- Background in post-placement support, retention, employer coordination, and stakeholder management.
- Practical experience with MIS tracking, documentation, and regular reporting.
- Exposure to youth employment, career guidance, placement coordination, or livelihood programs is an advantage.
- Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and work independently in a field environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, counselling, mentoring, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and MS Office tools.
- Good organization, time management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Readiness to travel across the assigned area.
- Languages required: Kannada, Hindi, and English.
