नोकरीचे वर्णन

About Years

Years is a fast-growing dog food company built around a simple mission: helping dogs enjoy longer, healthier lives. In only three years, the business has grown from an ambitious idea into a start-up serving thousands of customers across the UK, with plans to expand internationally in the future.

The company creates personalised, human-cut meals tailored to each dog’s individual needs and delivered directly to customers’ doors. Its food is made without preservatives or shortcuts, with a focus on genuine nutrition and better everyday feeding for pets.

The Role

Years is looking for a Midweight Designer to join a small, practical design team that is growing to three people. This is primarily a web-focused position, responsible for shaping the company’s visual identity and digital experience across the website, marketing campaigns, packaging, and broader brand assets.

Around 80% of the work will involve digital and web output such as landing pages, UI, email, and campaign creative. The remaining 20% will cover print and packaging. You will manage your own briefs from initial idea through final delivery, while also supporting larger projects led by the Senior Designer. The role includes working with the CRO & UX Designer on live tests, creating design variants and assets that help improve performance. Consistent use of the brand system and guidelines will be central to everything you produce.

You will report to the Senior Designer and collaborate closely with marketing, product, and other teams. The role suits someone who enjoys the craft of design, can work independently on familiar tasks, and is comfortable taking creative direction on bigger, more strategic pieces. The pace is fast, the work is varied, and there is room to take on more ownership over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and deliver digital and web design work from start to finish, including landing pages, UI, email, and campaign assets.
  • Develop print and packaging artwork and prepare files that are ready for production.
  • Take ownership of your own briefs from concept through final completion, while supporting larger projects owned by the Senior Designer.
  • Partner with the CRO & UX Designer on live experimentation by creating test variants and supporting assets.
  • Maintain consistent use of Years’ brand guidelines and design system across all outputs.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and the wider business to ship cohesive, high-quality design work.
  • Use customer insight and performance data to improve and refine design decisions.
  • Handle multiple briefs and deadlines while keeping quality high.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience working as a designer, backed by a strong portfolio covering both digital and print work.
  • Ability to take a brief from idea to delivery with only light guidance on more complex assignments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Figma, including use within a design system.
  • Good command of Adobe Creative Cloud tools, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Strong grasp of typography, layout, and colour principles.
  • Practical understanding of print production, ideally including packaging, artwork setup, specifications, and working with print suppliers.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively: organised, receptive to feedback, and quick to iterate without ego.
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding that design should support outcomes rather than simply satisfy a brief.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with analytics tools such as GA4 and Hotjar/Clarity for design optimisation, plus experience with Shopify.

Benefits

  • Annual salary between £33,000 and £37,000.
  • Medicash Level 4 cashback plan.
  • Spill EAP and mental health support programme.
  • £250 annual learning and development budget for courses, books, or self-directed learning.
  • £200 annual wellbeing budget.
  • Up to two weeks of working abroad each year for selected roles.
  • Monthly recognition through the Yappa of the Month programme.
  • One volunteer day per year, with or without a dog-related cause.
  • Subsidised employee groups and the option to start a new group.
  • Quarterly subsidised team events such as axe throwing, crazy golf, or cocktail making.
  • Discounts on Years products for you and your friends/family.
  • Lunch and Learn sessions on topics ranging from dog first aid to financial wellbeing.
  • Casual dress code.
  • Your birthday off, or an alternative day if it falls on a non-working day.
  • Option to sell back unused holiday at the end of the holiday year, up to a maximum of one working week.
