IT Project Manager

Job Summary

This role is responsible for steering application development initiatives from the initial planning phase through to delivery. The position focuses on meeting deadlines, maintaining quality standards, supporting business objectives, and managing project risks while working closely with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee application development and rollout projects from kickoff to completion, keeping schedules, budgets, and quality expectations on track.
• Act as the link between internal departments, external suppliers, and business stakeholders so that project goals and progress remain aligned.
• Use your background in programming and databases to guide design decisions, development work, and issue resolution.
• Spot potential risks and problems early, put mitigation plans in place, and work quickly to remove blockers.
• Build detailed project plans, progress updates, and supporting documents for management and stakeholder review.

Required Competencies

• Experience in the banking sector, along with familiarity with financial systems and regulatory expectations.
• Capability to manage application projects end to end, including planning, execution, and final delivery.
• Strong communication skills for working with varied stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
• Practical understanding of programming languages, SQL, database systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Good analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability to handle technical and operational issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, or a comparable project management certification is an advantage, though not compulsory.
