Role Overview
The IT Executive will look after the hotel’s technology environment at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara, making sure core systems run reliably and securely. The position covers day-to-day support for hotel departments, upkeep of network and communication infrastructure, and safeguarding of business-critical data and applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and resolve issues across hotel technology platforms such as PMS, POS, accounting tools, and other business applications.
- Oversee LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi‑Fi performance, and server reliability.
- Put data backup, recovery, and security measures in place and ensure they remain effective.
- Handle everyday technical assistance for staff, including problems with hardware, software, email, and printing.
- Configure new computers, user profiles, and access rights when required.
- Guide team members on correct use of hotel systems and internal IT practices.
- Work with external vendors and service partners for equipment, software, and network support.
- Schedule and carry out routine updates and preventive maintenance for all IT systems.
- Keep orderly records of IT equipment, software licenses, and warranty details.
- Maintain compliance with data protection rules and PCI-DSS standards.
- Watch for security risks, unauthorized access, and possible data breaches, and take corrective action.
- Perform system checks to improve compliance and operational efficiency.
- Support telephony and communications infrastructure such as IP phones, PBX, and VoIP.
- Help ensure guest internet access remains stable and address connectivity issues quickly.
Qualifications
The employer is seeking someone with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, along with 2–4 years of IT support experience. Background in hospitality technology is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
The role calls for strong hands-on experience with hotel systems, Windows Server, Microsoft Office, LAN/WAN networking, Wi‑Fi administration, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving. Good communication skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure are also important.
