Role Overview
This role supports the environmental services team in delivering a consistently high standard of housekeeping across the facility. The aide helps keep patient rooms, nursing stations, restrooms, offices, and other assigned spaces clean and fully stocked, following the department’s established procedures and hospital standards.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out daily cleaning and restocking tasks in patient care areas, workstations, restrooms, offices, and other designated locations.
- Follow the department’s cleaning methods and service expectations at all times.
- Maintain a courteous, friendly, and professional manner when interacting with customers and staff.
- Support smooth department operations by being dependable and maintaining strong attendance.
- Begin and end each shift according to department policy and procedure.
- Complete your assigned share of the workload as directed by environmental services leadership.
- Help the organization meet housekeeping quality goals, including the average monthly overall room score target.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Prior experience in a healthcare setting or in public lodging/housekeeping is also preferred.
Skills and Working Requirements
You should be able to communicate clearly in both spoken and written English, work well within a team-based environment, follow instructions accurately, and handle a busy, high-pressure workplace. Regular and punctual attendance is expected.
