Freight Forwarding Operations Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and driven Freight Forwarding Operations Executive to oversee day-to-day import, export, and cross-trade shipment activity. This role calls for someone with hands-on freight forwarding operations experience, strong communication abilities, and the confidence to coordinate with customers, carriers, transport providers, and overseas partners to keep shipments moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full operational cycle for sea, air, and land freight movements.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and overseas agents to coordinate shipment execution.
• Prepare, review, and validate shipping paperwork such as Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs-related documents.
• Track shipment progress and share timely status updates with customers.
• Secure bookings with carriers and handle operational coordination and related negotiations.
• Work with customs brokers and transport partners to arrange clearance and final delivery.
• Follow internal policies as well as applicable international shipping and trade compliance requirements.
• Address shipment disruptions, delays, and customer queries in an efficient manner.
• Keep operational records accurate and ensure internal systems are updated regularly.
• Partner with sales and finance teams on shipment progress, invoicing, and cost management.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in freight forwarding operations.
• Working knowledge of sea freight, air freight, and cross-border logistics.
• Understanding of shipping documents and customs clearance processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication, along with solid customer service skills.
• Ability to stay effective under pressure and handle several shipments at the same time.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
