Role overview
As a Fleet Operations Driver, you will support the daily deployment and movement of e-scooters across Mannheim, helping ensure the fleet remains available, safe, and well organized. This role suits someone who is practical, energetic, and comfortable with shift-based work.
Main duties
- Operate company vans to pick up, reposition, and deploy e-scooters, including battery swaps when required.
- Make sure scooters are placed neatly so that streets and sidewalks stay clear.
- Locate misplaced scooters, inspect their condition, and either return them to the warehouse or redeploy them in the city.
- Carry out small roadside fixes to improve fleet availability.
- Support the warehouse operations team whenever additional help is needed.
What we’re looking for
- A valid EU category B driving licence and the ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
- Confident, responsible driving skills and familiarity with the local area; prior professional driving experience is a plus.
- A hands-on mindset, initiative, and willingness to take ownership of tasks and challenges.
- Good spoken English, plus familiarity with smartphones and mechanical tools.
- German language skills are beneficial.
