FinOps Administrator

Role Overview

An immediate opening is available for a FinOps Administrator in Dubai. This is an on-site contract assignment for 1 year, with the possibility of extension. The preferred notice period is immediate joining or up to 30 days.

Key Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in cloud operations, financial reporting, IT operations support, or cost management and budgeting functions.
• Hands-on exposure to at least one cloud environment, such as Azure, AWS, or Oracle OCI.
• Practical experience handling financial or operational data.

Technical and Analytical Skills

• Advanced Excel capability, including pivot tables and formulas.
• Experience using Power BI or comparable reporting platforms.
• Working knowledge of cloud billing concepts.
• Foundational understanding of cloud services and the main factors that drive cloud spend.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of data accuracy.
• Good coordination and communication abilities.
• Comfortable collaborating with both technical and finance stakeholders.
• Well-organized, disciplined, and process-driven.

Preferred Certifications

• FinOps Certified Practitioner, or progress toward obtaining it.
• Azure Fundamentals or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
• ITIL v4 Foundation, which is considered an advantage.

Key Deliverables

• Produce cost reports that are accurate and delivered on time.
• Maintain clean, compliant tagging across environments.
• Build dependable dashboards that improve cost visibility.
• Document FinOps operating processes clearly.
• Assist with optimization efforts and savings tracking.

Performance Measures

• Quality of cost allocation and tagging accuracy.
• Speed and reliability of reports and dashboards.
• Ability to identify cost anomalies at an early stage.
• Effectiveness of support provided for optimization initiatives.
• Stakeholder satisfaction with transparency into cloud costs.
