Field Organizer

Role Overview

The New York State Democratic Committee is looking for Coordinated Campaign Field Organizers to support its 2026 efforts. In this role, you will help build volunteer teams in your assigned region, organize community-facing events, and carry out voter outreach aimed at boosting turnout for the 2026 elections. The ideal candidate is energetic, inventive, and committed to helping elect Democrats across the ballot.

What You’ll Do

• Support efforts to elect New York Democrats at every level by recruiting volunteers, canvassing, and taking part in local community events in your designated area.
• Prepare volunteers to engage voters through door-to-door outreach, phone banking, and other contact methods.
• Build and maintain connections with grassroots leaders, community stakeholders, and local organizations.
• Consistently hit daily and weekly goals related to volunteer growth and voter contact.
• Maintain strong data practices by entering information accurately and on time.
• Handle additional duties as needed.

What the Team Is Looking For

No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided on the core skills needed to succeed in the role. Familiarity with your local community is an advantage. The position suits someone who stays organized, works well independently, can juggle multiple priorities, and communicates effectively. Strong people skills are important, especially the ability to connect with others, listen carefully, collaborate, and lead with professionalism and respect. You should also have access to a cell phone and a vehicle, and be willing to relocate if needed.

Compensation

The pay is $5,525 per month, along with benefits. Final compensation may differ depending on factors such as experience.
