Role overview

The Briar Team, LLC is hiring dependable, hardworking General Laborers for an immediate opening in Sanford, Florida. This is a field-based construction role with a family-owned site development company serving Central Florida. In this role, you will assist with a range of site development and construction activities. Work may support crews handling pipe, grading, concrete, punchout, testing, mud fence, or silt fence tasks. Success in the job requires teamwork, a willingness to work outdoors, and the ability to handle physically demanding labor.

Key duties

• Support crew members with day-to-day labor needs on active job sites.
• Help prepare sites, materials, and tools before work begins.
• Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Clear away debris, trash, and hazardous materials from the work area.
• Build and remove barricades and temporary structures as needed.
• Set up traffic control measures and place traffic signage.
• Dig holes, trenches, and shafts.
• Mix, place, and level concrete.
• Operate power tools such as concrete saws and jackhammers.
• Follow all safety procedures and workplace regulations.

Requirements and work conditions

The role is full time and typically runs 40 to 55 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed, from 6:45am to 4:45pm. There is overtime available. No overnight travel or over-the-road travel is required, and there is no per diem. Work is available year-round, and the jobsite range extends from Palm Coast, FL to St Cloud, FL.

Pay and benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $15.00 to $18.00, depending on relevant experience.

Candidate profile

Applicants should have reliable transportation to assigned jobsites, the ability to lift heavy loads, strong stamina, and the capacity to work 8 to 10 hour days in difficult weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain. Prior experience is preferred, though not mandatory; candidates with relevant experience will be considered first.
