Role overview

PriceSmart is hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician in Kingston, Jamaica for a full-time, on-site role. The position focuses on keeping the club, warehouse, fixtures, and equipment in good working order, while supporting safety, cleanliness, and day-to-day operational needs.

Qualifications and experience

You should have completed five CSEC subjects, with English Language and Mathematics included.
A diploma or trade certificate in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Maintenance, Building Services Maintenance, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (HVAC), or Plumbing will be considered an advantage.
A valid General Driver's License is required.
Forklift certification is an added plus.
You need working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and forklifts.
Strong customer service ability is important for this role.
Experience of 2 to 5 years in facility maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a comparable technical position is highly desirable.
Background maintaining commercial buildings, warehouses, manufacturing sites, or retail operations is especially valuable.

Responsibilities

Build, repair, and maintain fixtures, structures, and equipment within the club.
Plan and carry out preventive maintenance for warehouse equipment and fixtures.
Handle both minor and major repairs on faulty equipment and perform weekly fogging.
Follow safety, security, and prevention procedures by making proper use of the security equipment provided.
Support special club initiatives such as marketing setup, banner installation, and accessory fitting.
Take care of facility and club maintenance and repair needs.
Keep the warehouse floor area clean and orderly.
Oversee STP operations.
Remove trash during store operating hours and at closing time.
Keep equipment, fixtures, spare parts, and tools secured.
