Role overview
Agway Metals, a Saint-Gobain North America subsidiary, is hiring an Estimator for its Exeter, Ontario location. This role reports to the Director of Sales and is centered on delivering accurate quotations, useful product guidance, and a strong customer experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Prepare prompt pricing for purchased, stocked, and custom products.
- Check quotations carefully before they are sent to customers.
- Track and follow up on quoted orders.
- Analyze job specifications to confirm the right building materials are selected.
- Support customers in understanding loading tables.
- Share product knowledge with both internal teams and external clients.
- Help customers with take-offs and material quantity calculations.
- Provide one-on-one support and resolve issues by phone, email, and similar channels.
- Handle complaints in a calm, professional, and solutions-focused way.
- Use ERP tools for order entry, inventory verification, and quote and purchase order management.
- Investigate customer requests, evaluate manufacturing feasibility, and identify substitute materials when needed.
- Work with production, suppliers, logistics, and purchasing, and support outside sales with pricing approaches.
- Maintain strong service standards, solid product knowledge, and professional conduct.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.

Compensation and benefits
The base salary for this role is CAD 64,000 to CAD 80,000 per year. The position also qualifies for an annual bonus, with a target of 5% of base salary depending on company and individual performance. Bonus payments are discretionary and may vary.
