Estimator

Role Overview

Our client, a subcontracting company in Dubai, is looking for an Estimator to support building construction projects, with a particular focus on industrial works. The position centers on producing reliable cost estimates, studying drawings, gathering supplier and subcontractor pricing, and assisting with tender submissions in accordance with UAE construction practices and bid requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop itemized cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and pricing from drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender packs.
• Examine architectural, structural, and other project drawings to understand scope, materials, and any budget implications.
• Request, compare, and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to help prepare strong and accurate bids.
• Contribute to tendering activities, including commercial review, bid documentation, and final submission work.
• Work with internal stakeholders to resolve technical and commercial queries and flag inconsistencies in tender documents.
• Stay up to date on UAE market rates, construction methods, and relevant rules and standards that affect estimation and tendering.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or another relevant discipline.
• At least 5 years of estimation experience in the UAE construction industry.
• Strong understanding of UAE regulations, standards, tendering practices, and market pricing.
• Hands-on experience in cost estimating, drawing interpretation, quotation analysis, and bid preparation.
• Prior exposure to both industrial and residential projects is required.
• Sharp attention to detail, commercial judgment, and the ability to manage work under tight tender timelines.

This is a full-time onsite role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role is for a client of Micah Solutions FZE and is focused on subcontracting work within building construction.
