Electrical Engineer

Role overview

MOBCO Group is hiring an Electrical Engineer to support its project team in Al Khobar. This role is suited to someone with practical experience in electrical construction, installation, testing, and commissioning, along with solid exposure to Medium Voltage and Low Current systems. The position involves working closely with project stakeholders to keep work aligned with specifications, quality expectations, and site safety standards.

Core responsibilities

• Oversee electrical works at the project site and keep field activities under control.
• Examine electrical drawings, technical specifications, and related submittals.
• Support the installation, testing, and commissioning process for electrical systems.
• Handle Medium Voltage and Low Voltage systems, including power distribution arrangements.
• Coordinate and supervise Low Current systems such as fire alarm, CCTV, access control, public address, structured cabling, and building management systems.
• Work in line with project requirements, Saudi regulations, and relevant international standards.
• Draft RFIs, method statements, inspection requests, and progress updates.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to close technical issues.
• Track project progress and help ensure delivery within approved timelines.
• Review material submissions and take part in technical assessment activities.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and final handover tasks.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Between 4 and 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering and construction projects.
• Practical knowledge of Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and Low Current systems.
• Background in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects is expected.
• Understanding of Saudi Building Code, SEC requirements, and international electrical standards.
• Comfort working with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and similar engineering tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical judgment, and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred profile

• Experience on projects in Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
• Prior involvement in testing and commissioning is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical load calculations and power distribution design is useful.
• Immediate availability is mandatory.
• Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferred.
