Role Overview
We are seeking a District Account Manager based in Indore to spearhead sales of Orthopedic Trauma, PT, and Instrument Implants within key accounts. This role demands achieving and exceeding sales targets in alignment with the company's Credo and goals, fostering enduring customer relationships, and serving as a trusted consultant for orthopedic surgeons and hospital purchase departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of franchise products within the assigned territory and meet set targets.
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons and hospital purchasing teams to create demand, negotiate, and close transactions.
- Utilize sales data to identify opportunities, troubleshoot issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Participate in trade shows and conferences as required.
- Manage territory by understanding customer needs, responding to surgeons' implant requests, identifying tender opportunities, and developing an efficient territory plan.
- Train surgeons on new technologies and conduct product demonstrations and technical guidance.
- Support customer training needs by organizing and delivering in-service education sessions.
- Optimize key account growth, maintain consigned inventory, and identify cross-selling possibilities.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, market competition, and medical applications.
- Implement and monitor an effective distribution network, ensuring stock availability and instrument maintenance.
- Manage budgets responsibly, including expenses, sample distribution, and approvals.
- Commit to continuous personal development through training and knowledge enhancement.
- Uphold high ethical standards and conduct all business per company values and Credo.
Candidate Profile
- Educational qualifications: Science graduate preferred; MBA desirable.
- Experience: 2-3 years in orthopedics, joints, or medical devices preferred with demonstrated ability to handle healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
- Management skills preferred.
- Language proficiency in Hindi (or regional language) and English is essential.

Johnson & Johnson is in the process of spinning off its Orthopaedics division into a separate company, DePuy Synthes. Successful candidates may transition to DePuy Synthes employment terms after separation, anticipated within 18-24 months, subject to regulatory approvals and consultations.
