Role overview
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Director of Strategy & Operations focused on the consumer business in the United States. The role sits at the center of a fast-growing company that helps customers find, assess, and buy financial protection products in a better way.
You will own strategy and execution across growth, product, marketing, and lifecycle efforts in a highly analytical environment. The job combines big-picture planning with close operational follow-through, so you will be expected to move comfortably between strategic thinking and execution detail.
The role calls for someone who can spot the highest-value growth opportunities across products, channels, and customer journeys, then turn those opportunities into measurable results through strong cross-functional leadership. You will also help drive the use of AI-enabled workflows to improve decision-making, speed, and operating efficiency.
This position is built for a leader who is comfortable working through ambiguity, takes full ownership of outcomes, and is motivated by clear business impact.
Key accountabilities
- Set and run strategy and operations for consumer growth, with clear alignment across teams and accountability for results.
- Find, rank, and scale growth opportunities across products, lifecycle stages, and acquisition channels.
- Lead high-impact initiatives from idea to execution while maintaining ownership of performance and business outcomes.
- Create and assess business cases, including unit economics such as CAC, LTV, payback, and margin, to guide investment decisions.
- Develop a connected view of how products, channels, and teams influence one another to improve overall business performance.
- Own quarterly planning and OKR processes across consumer-facing functions to keep execution focused and aligned.
- Drive cross-functional work across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Partnerships to support revenue growth.
- Work with functional leaders to redesign workflows and operations using AI to increase speed, quality, and scale.
- Build decision-making and prioritization frameworks so resources go to the opportunities with the highest return.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is a strategic, analytical, and execution-focused operator with experience in fast-moving, high-growth settings. The role suits someone with a strong ownership mindset and a clear bias toward outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience, including prior work in management consulting, investment banking, and/or Strategy & Operations roles within high-growth companies.
- A proven history of leading and delivering end-to-end growth initiatives with meaningful business impact.
- Strong analytical capability, including financial modeling, unit economics, and performance analysis.
- The ability to think like both a strategist and a hands-on operator, switching between detail and the big picture as needed.
- Excellent structured thinking and the ability to turn complex, unclear problems into simple frameworks and decisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Comfort operating in fast-changing environments with ambiguity and competing priorities.
- An AI-native mindset, with experience using AI tools to improve workflows, decision-making, and productivity.
- Strong business judgment, curiosity, and the ability to learn new domains and business models quickly.
- A work style defined by urgency, ownership, and strong action orientation.
Benefits and compensation
- Estimated base salary range of about $169,000 to $298,000, depending on experience and location.
- Eligibility for performance-based bonus and equity compensation.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Company-paid life insurance and disability benefits.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan.
- Flexible vacation policy plus paid sick leave, compassion leave, and voting leave.
- Paid parental leave.
- Remote-friendly arrangement within the United States.
- Opportunity to shape high-growth consumer products with substantial business impact.
- Exposure to advanced AI-driven operational transformation work.
