About the practice

Lumino Pearl Dental is seeking a permanent full-time Dental Assistant to become part of its team in Auckland. The clinic is part of a nationwide network of more than 120 practices that focus on delivering excellent patient care and strong support to staff. Pearl Dental has a friendly, close-knit team, a loyal patient following, and a long-standing history of serving families in Remuera for more than four generations.

Role overview

This position plays an important support role within the clinical team. You will assist experienced dentists and clinicians during a range of dental treatments and patient appointments, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a positive experience for patients.

Key duties

• Support clinicians during dental procedures and patient visits.
• Manage instrument sterilisation and maintain infection control standards.
• Assist with stock management and general practice support.
• Contribute to a welcoming, professional environment for patients and colleagues.

Working hours

• Monday: 8:45 am to 5:15 pm
• Tuesday: 8:15 am to 4:45 pm
• Wednesday: 8:45 am to 5:15 pm
• Thursday: 8:45 am to 5:15 pm

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, although full training can be provided to the right candidate.
• Experience in reception or other customer-facing roles is an advantage.
• Willingness to be flexible and support the wider team as needed.
• Strong organisation and multitasking ability in a busy setting.
• A positive, collaborative attitude.
• Comfort using computers and ability to learn quickly.
• Valid New Zealand work rights and local residence.
