Role Overview

The organization is looking for a proactive Data Analytics Engineer to shape, develop, and support its analytics and data environment, with additional support for solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform. This position is key to delivering dependable and scalable data pipelines and analytics products that power reporting, insight generation, and operational processes across departments.

The ideal candidate will bring practical experience in analytics engineering, data transformation, and modeling, along with strong SQL and Python skills. The role also requires the ability to work comfortably with technical teams and business users, turning business requirements into structured datasets, analytical outputs, and Power Platform-based solutions such as Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain analytics-ready datasets and data models that support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analysis.
• Build and refine data transformation logic so analytical outputs remain efficient and dependable.
• Develop curated analytical layers that enable teams to reuse consistent insights.
• Investigate and resolve data quality, performance, and pipeline problems that affect analytics delivery.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to convert analysis needs into datasets, metrics, and visual outputs.
• Support the use of dashboards and reporting tools by making analytics outputs easy to consume downstream.
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and exploratory reporting requests when needed.
• Support analytics-driven solutions created in Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Build and maintain integrations that help Power Platform tools consume analytics datasets effectively.
• Collaborate with Power Platform developers so data outputs are optimized for applications and automation workflows.
• Help troubleshoot data-related issues affecting Power Platform applications, flows, and reports.
• Improve analytics workflows, delivery practices, performance, and usability together with cross-functional teams.
• Document solutions, datasets, and integration approaches to improve maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• Write and maintain SQL-based transformations and automated data quality tests to protect data integrity.
• Mentor junior teammates and contribute to the team’s technical learning and growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or another related STEM discipline, or an equivalent mix of education, certifications, and professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in data analytics engineering, analytics development, or similar work supporting enterprise analytics solutions.
• Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, complex joins, and query performance tuning.
• Strong Python scripting ability for data manipulation, pipeline automation, and general workflow support.
• Experience using Git for version control and collaborative code development.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse environments.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schema design.
• Practical experience with Power BI and integrating analytics datasets into Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Clear understanding of data modeling, analytical datasets, and how reporting tools and applications consume them.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure Entra ID for secure access to analytics and Power Platform solutions.
• Experience partnering with Power Platform developers on analytics-driven applications, reporting, and automation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to explain analytical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Experience helping business users and analysts through self-service analytics and data-led innovation.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate, and dbt Analytics Engineering Certification.
• Preferred background includes advanced Power BI dataset and enterprise reporting model design, Power Apps and Power Automate integration, Azure data services, data security and governance, structured release management or DevOps practices, dbt or similar SQL transformation frameworks, automated data quality testing, data pipeline orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Dagster, and familiarity with machine learning concepts and AI-assisted data workflows.
