Data Analyst

Role Overview

Robert Half is looking for a detail-focused Data Analyst with at least one year of relevant experience to help turn data into practical business insights. This position suits someone who enjoys exploring datasets, spotting patterns, and partnering with stakeholders to support better decisions.

Core Responsibilities

• Examine, interpret, and check data to uncover trends, patterns, and meaningful insights.
• Create and run SQL queries to pull, modify, and study information from relational databases.
• Prepare large datasets by cleaning, reshaping, and organizing them while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
• Build reports, dashboards, and visual displays that answer business needs.
• Convert business questions and requirements into data-backed solutions.
• Work closely with teams across the organization to understand their data needs and deliver useful insights.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in data analysis or a similar function.
• Working knowledge of applications, reporting tools, and relational database fundamentals.
• Ability to write straightforward SQL queries for extracting and analyzing data.
• Hands-on familiarity with Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and analytics/visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms.
• Understanding of data analysis methods such as querying, extraction, cleansing, and transformation.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to make sense of complex datasets.
• Comfort discussing requirements with business stakeholders and turning them into technical outputs.

Preferred Background

• Experience handling large datasets and maintaining data quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain findings clearly.
• Exposure to ETL workflows or data pipeline work is an added advantage.
