Role overview
CowManager is looking for a Dairy Success Manager to support dairy farmers in the Southland region of New Zealand. The purpose of this position is to help customers get the greatest possible value from CowManager’s herd monitoring platform through hands-on guidance, proactive support, and practical training.
The company’s technology is already used in more than 40 countries and continues to expand in New Zealand. In this role, you will work closely with farmers to improve adoption of the system, strengthen herd health insights, and support better on-farm outcomes through precision technology.
Southland sits at the heart of New Zealand’s dairy sector, and this position will be important in building lasting customer relationships and helping users stay at the forefront of herd management.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main support contact for customer queries by phone and email.
- Carry out daily reviews of live CowManager systems and flag technical issues, bugs, or performance concerns to the support team.
- Deliver training and coaching both on-farm and remotely so farmers can use the system effectively over the long term.
- Support hardware setup and assist with linking the platform to herd management software.
- Maintain regular communication with farmers, dealers, and the New Zealand sales team.
- Collect feedback from the field and share it with product and support teams to help improve the solution.
- Provide after-sales training through TeamViewer and farm visits to ensure customers realize the full value of the system.
- Work collaboratively with team members in both New Zealand and headquarters.
Requirements
- Good understanding of the dairy sector, including basic knowledge of cow fertility, health, transition, and nutrition needs.
- Practical experience with dairy cattle will be viewed as an advantage.
- Comfort using technology, including computer networks and common software applications.
- Strong analytical thinking with a structured and solution-focused approach.
- Customer-first mindset, supported by clear communication and empathy.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and stay organized.
- Prepared to travel across the Southland region.
- Must be located in New Zealand and hold a valid work visa or residency.
