Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings is seeking a Custodian to support the Haleakalā National Park Summit District in Maui, Hawai'i. This position includes a one-time signing bonus in addition to regular pay.

Key duties

Deliver custodial support across the Summit District, covering two visitor centers, several administrative offices, one campground, and multiple trailheads.
Carry out routine cleaning work such as removing trash and recycling, cleaning mirrors and drinking fountains, spot cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, dusting, and disinfecting restrooms.
Clean and sanitize fixtures and surfaces, including descaling toilet bowls and urinals.
Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors, and replenish restroom supplies.
Handle graffiti removal, minor repair-related cleaning support, clogged or blocked toilets, and emergency cleaning needs.
Assist with special events and complete periodic deep-cleaning assignments.
Perform any other related duties assigned.

Education and licensing

High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
A valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Experience and job requirements

At least 2 years of custodial experience is required.
Must be physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Should be able to plan time effectively so tasks are completed within assigned schedules while maintaining quality.
Need a working understanding of health and safety rules, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Must pay close attention to detail to keep facilities clean, orderly, and presentable to visitors.
Ability to use small hand tools and portable power tools is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to pass a federal background check.

Compensation and benefits
