Role Overview
An established building and construction business in Cairns is looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to support its project team. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers to handle contract documentation, keep administration processes on track, and help ensure each project is completed efficiently, in line with requirements, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Support tender activity by sending out RFQs and handling communication with subcontractors.
- Examine contract paperwork, drawings, and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
- Manage engagement and pricing discussions with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Keep project files, records, and document control systems accurate from start to finish.
- Track contract progress, cost movements, and variation activity throughout the project.
- Assist Project Managers with reporting, documentation, and coordination across stakeholders.
- Take part in project meetings and record actions and decisions clearly and accurately.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has worked in contracts administration within the construction sector and brings a solid grasp of contract processes and project workflows. You should be highly organised, detail-focused, comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders, and capable of thriving in a busy project environment. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is also required.
