Role overview
Community Care Trust Aotearoa is hiring a caring, motivated community support worker to join its Central Otago team, supporting people in Cromwell, Tīrau, Alexandra/Manuherekia and Wānaka. This is a permanent part-time position for 60 hours per fortnight, with most shifts scheduled during the day and a regular roster that supports work-life balance.

What the role involves
You will work with people in their homes and local communities, helping them build confidence, independence and stronger social connections. The work is varied, meaningful and people-focused, with each day bringing different needs and goals.
- Developing trust and positive working relationships with the people you support
- Partnering with individuals to work toward their goals and aspirations
- Supporting access to community activities and wider support networks
- Encouraging independence, confidence and active participation in the community
- Completing competency-based training to build capability and qualifications
- Working regular rostered shifts, including some weekends
- Handling administration tasks connected to service delivery
What you need to bring
- A current full New Zealand driver licence is required
- A current First Aid Certificate is preferred, or you must be willing to complete one at the employer's expense
- You must be legally allowed to work in New Zealand
- If you hold a work visa, it must have at least 12 months remaining
- A positive, supportive attitude and a genuine wish to help others
- Clear communication, dependability and the ability to take initiative
