Role Overview
The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as the everyday driver of audience interaction for Dermalogica PRO’s social channels. This person will manage real-time conversations, respond to comments and direct messages, listen for community activity across platforms, and help expand the reach of advocate content so engagement and earned media value grow over time.
This position acts as the brand’s live voice within the professional skincare community, with a strong focus on encouraging meaningful engagement that contributes to earned media results.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily community interactions by replying to direct messages, comments, and questions in a timely, brand-appropriate tone while encouraging positive conversation.
- Create and manage community activations such as challenges, contests, and giveaways that motivate advocates and followers to post, share, and generate earned content.
- Maintain an ongoing engagement plan made up of recurring prompts, series, polls, Q&As, and interactive story formats that keep the audience active between larger campaigns.
- Use social listening tools to track conversations and mentions, and escalate important opportunities, concerns, and high-performing advocate posts to the wider team.
- Identify user-generated content and work with content and community partners to coordinate reposting and amplification.
- Review audience feedback to surface repeated questions, sentiment patterns, and recurring themes that can inform future content and engagement strategy.
- Measure engagement performance against earned media value goals and share learnings with earned social, content, and discovery/nurture teams.
- Keep the community voice consistent, responsive, and aligned with brand standards across all channels.

Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in community management, social media, or influencer marketing.
- Excellent writing ability with a strong instinct for real-time, brand-aligned communication.
- Proven experience growing and engaging online communities; familiarity with the professional skincare audience is strongly preferred.
- Comfort working with data and social analytics, including the ability to evaluate engagement and earned media value in tools such as CreatorIQ, Dash Hudson, or similar platforms.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while working independently and staying resilient.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the flexibility to adapt to change.
- Resourceful, proactive, and creative problem-solving ability with an analytical, trend-aware mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive, curious, and open to learning new skills and taking on new challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred.
- Proficiency with CreatorIQ, Dash Hudson, and related social or influencer marketing tools.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly base pay range for this role is $24 to $26 per hour. Final compensation depends on factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
This position is also eligible for the company bonus plan, which rewards both personal contribution and overall company performance.

Location and Work Arrangement
The role is based at the corporate headquarters in Carson, California, with hybrid in-office work guidelines applicable.
