Business Analyst

Role overview

This is a full-time Business Analyst position with a family-owned sales company in Melbourne’s north-west, based in Glenroy, Victoria, Australia. The role is focused on making Generative AI useful in everyday operations, with an emphasis on measurable business results, practical adoption, and value creation rather than exploratory experimentation.

About the role

You will work closely with senior leaders to find areas where GenAI can improve productivity, simplify workflows, strengthen customer experience, and support better decision-making across sales, operations, design, and support functions.

The position is highly stakeholder-facing and suits someone who can connect business needs with technology possibilities, turn operational issues into well-defined problem statements, support implementation, and help teams use AI tools confidently in their daily work.

Key responsibilities

• Spot opportunities to apply Generative AI across different parts of the business.
• Lead discovery sessions to understand pain points and inefficiencies in current processes.
• Convert business requirements into clear, practical inputs for technical teams.
• Support organisational change and encourage adoption of AI-enabled ways of working.
• Provide training and lift capability across the wider business.
• Work with leadership to rank initiatives and maintain a GenAI delivery roadmap.
• Set success measures and track whether initiatives deliver commercial value.
• Serve as the main point of contact between operational stakeholders and internal technical teams.

What we’re looking for

Ideal candidates will bring experience in business analysis, digital transformation, product ownership, or process improvement. You should be comfortable working with stakeholders, supporting change, and turning ideas into action.

Exposure to or interest in Generative AI, automation, conversational AI, or digital innovation will be highly valued. The role also calls for strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple and practical manner.

Experience in operational, sales, pricing, manufacturing, construction, or design-focused environments will be an advantage. A commercially minded approach and confidence in running workshops, gathering requirements, and driving adoption are important.
